For over 50 years, a well-kept secret has been brewing in Fresno, California. Prpoor (púhr-poor), an Armenian term which refers to the bubbling grape molasses which brews on the last day of the harvest of the grapes, is an 800 year old traditional Armenian harvest festival (similar to Thanksgiving) which has been carried on in the old world tradition for over 50 years in the Central Valley. About The ACF The Armenian Cultural Foundation (ACF) has been an active organization in the Central Valley for over 50 years. The ACF provides a cultural outlet for Armenian youth and supports the fundraising efforts for orphanages in Armenian, Human Rights Groups, and Armenian Studies Programs. The ACF is also the parent organization for the H.M.E.M. Boys and Girl Scouts, the Armenian Youth Federation & its AYF Juniors Organization, the Hamazkayin Cultural Association and the Armenian Relief Society. The ACF will be hosting our largest fundraiser of the year, the "Armenian Food Festival" on Saturday, September 24, 2011.
